Selichot Dinner & Movie (“The Other Son”)

To begin Selichot, Temple Beth-El will screen the award winning Israeli film, “The Other Son” by Lorraine Levy, followed by a discussion of the film by Rabbi Mara Nathan, where we will discover its connection to the themes of the season. Dinner from Moshe’s Golden Falafel will be available before the movie at a cost of $9 per person. RSVP Online.

“As he is preparing to join the Israeli army for his national service, Joseph discovers he is not his parents’ biological son, and that he was inadvertently switched at birth with Yacine, the son of a Palestinian family from the West Bank. This revelation turns the lives of these two families upside-down, forcing them to reassess their respective identities, their values and their beliefs.

Afterwards, there will be a Dessert Reception in the Stahl Gallery at 8:30 pm and our Candlelight Selichot Service & Havdalah will be at 9:00 pm in the Wulfe Sanctuary.
