Historically, minorities in America have had to overcome institutionalized racism, bigotry, and xenophobia before creating a legitimate space for themselves within American society. Currently, Muslims in America are facing this same challenge. The minority communities that were able to overcome this challenge did so by confidently working for social progress while empowered by knowledge of their constitutional civil rights.
Join us on Saturday September 24 from 6 PM for “Activism in America.” We will be hosting two of the leading national Muslim civil rights advocates, Hassan Shibly of CAIR-Florida, & Zahra Billoo of CAIR-San Fransisco.
