In this sensitive time we want to take the time to pay our respects to Alton Sterling and others who have lost their lives at the hands of a corrupt system. Alton is a man before he is a seed for a movement. We intend to pay our respects to the man he is.
We will also be raising the conversation of what this means for us in a bigger picture. What this means for San Antonio, both historically and what this means for our future. We will be beginning the conversation on what needs to happen moving forward.
There will be water and ice provided as it may get hot. Please keep in mind there may be a lot of people, so dress accordingly.
Come sensitive but also come hopeful. During this time a lot of us are angry, confused, hurt, tired, and fed up. Understand though that we are still a “we” factor. There is power in collective efforts.
There is no problem we can not bear, or can not solve together.
