Keeping it Real: Community Organizing Workshop with Bamby Salcedo

July 9, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

This free workshop will provide participants with necessary tools to learn some tips and tricks of community organizing while encouraging participants to mobilize in order to address issues in their local communities.

Using examples, Bamby Salcedo will share her experiences as an activist including her work with the TransLatina Coalition as well as relating this work to the SA community, so that we can understand together what our San Antonio community needs.

The workshop will take place Saturday, July 9th, from 10am-12pm, at the Esperanza, 922 San Pedro Ave.

The event is co-sponsored by LULAC 22198 “Orgullo de San Antonio” and the Transgender Education Network of Texas.
