MLK Jr. Commemorative Lecture @ Trinity w/Dr. Freeman Hrabowski

Trinity University and the City of San Antonio MLK Jr. Commission present the 2016 Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Lecture. Dr. Freeman Hrabowski will be the keynote speaker. His speech is titled Holding Fast to Dreams: Creating a Climate of Success for All Students. Dr. Hrabowski, President of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) since 1992, is a consultant on science and math education to national agencies, universities, and school systems. A child-leader in the Civil Rights Movement, Hrabowski was prominently featured in Spike Lee’s 1997 documentary, Four Little Girls, on the racially motivated bombing in 1963 of Birmingham’s Sixteenth Street Baptist Church. This event is free and open to the public.
