The City of San Antonio Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women will host a summit to discuss strategies to ensure equal pay and equal opportunity for women in the workplace.
This will be a day long summit of business and non-profit leaders as well as community members to discuss the impact of pay equity in our daily lives and economy. We will feature three panel discussions through the day focusing on policy surrounding pay equity, individual experiences, and creating systematic change.
In addition to panel discussions, we are excited to bring the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Work Smart negotiation workshop to our community. This workshop teaches women how to determine their market worth based on their skills, experience, performance, qualifications, and responsibilities on the job and to use business strategies that will lead them to success in negotiating their salary.
Business casual attire. A light lunch will be provided. If you have any questions, please contact Rebecca De La Garza at rebecca.delagarza@sanantonio.gov or 210-207-7879.
