The John Lennon Peace Monument, also known as the European Peace Monument, is dedicated to the memory of John Lennon in his birthplace, Liverpool, England. It was unveiled by his son Julian and first wife, Cynthia Lennon in 2010 to celebrate what would have been John Lennon’s 70th birthday. The sculpture is hand-painted metal with a white glass feather placed at the top. The music theme references not only Lennon’s music career but also the healing power of music. It incorporates a number of peace symbols including the peace sign, doves and a white feather.
