The single of Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall (II), as well as the album The Wall, were banned in South Africa after the song was adopted by supporters of a nationwide school boycott protesting racial inequities in education under the apartheid regime. “We don’t need no education / We don’t need no thought control . . . .All in all you’re just another brick in the wall.”
