The first Chicano Youth Liberation Conference was held by the Crusade for Justice; the poet Alberto Baltazar Urista Heredia, known as Alurista, presented his poem on the myth of Aztlán, which captured the imagination of the conference. In this video he is reading this poem at a civil right rally in San Antonio on October 9, 2009.
