Hannah Pankowsky, Holocaust survivor and author, will share the story of her family’s escape from Poland in 1940. After living in the Ural Mountains under harsh conditions, they returned after the war and were entered in displaced persons camps until going to Mexico and then the United States.

Participants will be introduced to concepts about social identity, stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, together with the cultural ideologies that feed them.
