Curanderiando: Tales of Healing
Curanderiando: Tales of Healing is a bilingual storytelling/dance performance based on Legends of those who became healers in different indigenous cultures, The Maya (Guatemala), The Sapalla (Bolivia) and the Mapuches (Argentina). In the stories, the healers undergo a physical and spiritual journey and find guidance from plants, animals, other beings to help their communities. We our steady on our way to begin San Anto Cultural Arts 51st Mural in collaboration with Martinez Street Women's Center and Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. The Peace and Dignity Journeys is a ceremonial run that occurs every four years. It is a prayer run that unites native communities from North, Central, and South America.
