Calling all people of Yanaguana (waters of this land):
The escalating expenses of food, rent, health and utilities leave our community in poverty. The San Antonio Water System is seeking TWO rate hikes that will ultimately support the privatization of water at the expense of the public good in the wake of a $3.4 billion Vista Ridge Pipeline, to pump water from the Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer to San Antonio.
Water is life. The United Nations has declared the human right to water and sanitation essential to the realization of all human rights. We seek to create and build solutions to water issues in San Antonio that respect mother earth and each other.
People of Yanaguana are called together to respectfully gather THIS SATURDAY, August 8 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Movement Gallery at the Southwest Worker’s Union (1416 E. Commerce, San Antonio TX) in an assembly style to share our water connections and build a plan for a resilient and resistant community to protect and defend our sacred waters.
WATER FOR PEOPLE NOT FOR PROFIT!
