Join Southwest Workers Union & The Movement Gallery in solidarity with Two Rivers Camp and Water Protectors from all four directions. On Wednesday Feb 1, 2017 the gallery will host a direct action training and sign/banner making session. We’ll start with an update from Two Rivers Camp and the impact of the Trans Pecos Pipeline and ways you can get involved. This will be followed by a Digital Resistance 101 online skillshare hosted by Iris Rodriguez of Xica Media. Afterwards we will have supplies to make signs and banners for upcoming actions at the Two Rivers Camp.
This is a free event, families welcome, 6:00p – 8:30p,
Donations for the camp and legal funds are greatly appreciated

About Two Rivers Camp:
The Society of Native Nations (SNN) has been asked by the Big Bend Defense Coalition of Alpine, TX and the surrounding communities in West Texas to help stop the Trans Pecos Pipeline. SNN has committed to help by starting a camp, which opened Dec 30, 2016 to receive Water Protectors. The camp has been named “Two Rivers Camp”, known as “La Junta de los Rios” by the local native communities such as the Jumano Apache and Conchos People. Currently, the camp is involved in a series of native lead direct action strategies to continue defending our land water and sacred sites, as well bring attenion to destruction of many communities traditional lands by the extractive industry.
