Here’s what the BBC says about the program:
Who you are and what matters to you – your hopes for the future under a new US presidency, made in a partnership between the BBC and American Public Media. The series The Response – America’s Story is a chance for Americans to share realities and reflections with the world.
We’ve been traveling across the U.S. as we collect Americans’ stories. For our first programme, we were in West Virginia, asking what you wanted to tell Donald Trump about your life. Our second programme comes from Kansas City, Missouri and focuses on Americans’ experiences of health. For our next programme, we’re headed to San Antonio, Texas, and we want you to tell us why you, your parents or grandparents came to live in the United States.
To take part, just find the voice recorder on your mobile phone, and record yourself for two minutes, telling us your family history story. (Just tell us rather than reading out your thoughts.) Try to convey what you feel and why it’s so important to you. Then email your story to theresponse@bbc.co.uk
