Texas Coalition to Abolish he Death Penalty (TCADP) San Antonio Organizing Meeting

Hello all interested San Antonio volunteers and members of Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (TCADP),

We are pleased to announce that we are ready to meet! We have a location: Travis Park United Methodist Church 230 East Travis, 78205. We will meet in the Labyrinth room at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4th. Chris Hockman will be outside the door to show everyone where to go. We expect the meeting to last from 6:30-7:30 p.m.. Bonus! Parking is free in public parking lots and meters in downtown San Antonio every Tuesday evening…just be sure to check that the lot you enter is owned and operated by the city. Travis Park United Methodist is across Navarro street from the St. Anthony Hotel.

Our first meeting agenda will be short. I suggest that we

1) select leadership for this group

2) confirm names and addresses of people interested in meeting

3) decide frequency of meetings

4) discuss the scheduled execution of Barney Fuller on October 5 and let members know of what events will be held that day in San Antonio and how and where they can participate. (of course we all hope and pray that this execution may not take place….there has been reason to hope this summer!)

Please let me know if there is something that should be added to this first meeting’s agenda. I would also invite and encourage all of you to let your friends, associates, church members know of this meeting (e.g. I will try to get this notice in our church bulletin the weeks preceding the 4th).
