San Antonio Premiere of Food Chains with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers!

April 3, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$5

Leaders of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers and Student/Farmworker Alliance will showcase their work on the big screen!

Food Chains tells us the story of exploitation in the fields dating back to slavery but it doesn’t end there! It also shines light on what farmworkers, students, people of faith and the sustainable food movement are doing to eliminate modern-day exploitation through the Fair Food Program!

Food Chains has been screened at several film festivals and major cities but has not yet been shown in San Antonio. The San Anto premiere will be at the Esperanza – 922 San Pedro Ave. on Friday, April 3rd at 6pm.

After the film, please join the CIW in a short march to the local Wendy’s, just 4 blocks away. Through our music, art, and voices, we’ll take the message of the Fair Food Nation to Wendy’s doorstep.

Admission is $5 más or menos. Tickets can be bought online at Brown Paper Tickets.

Proceeds will go towards covering the costs of bringing and hosting leaders from Immokalee.
