The San Antonio Feminist Film Festival was created to center on feminist films and to focus on full equality. Our goal is to highlight feminist film, engage with local leaders and create change in our community.

Join us September 20th through September 22nd for our second annual festival, and check out the films below!

Night 1 – September 20th. Doors open at 6pm. Food and wine are included. $30

Equal Means Equal: San Antonio Premier of the documentary that offers an unflinching look at how women are treated in the United States today and reveals the inadequacy of present laws that claim to protect women. View trailer.

Mustang: A story that could have been ripped from the headlines. Set in a Northern Turkey village, five teenaged sisters’ lives are changed when their parents essentially imprison them to be married off. View Trailer.

Young Feminists Night — September 21st $15 Doors open at 6pm.

The Hunting Ground: We welcome the young and young-at-heart feminists for this night that focuses on our millennials, with the film “The Hunting Ground” addressing campus sexual assault. View Trailer

Night 3: September 22nd $30.00 Doors open at 6pm

Maya Angelou – Still I Rise: At the time of Maya Angelou’s death, she was participating in this, the first feature documentary about her life for the PBS American Masters series. View trailer

Grandma. A misanthropic poet (Lily Tomlin) takes her granddaughter (Julia Garner) across Los Angeles in search of the money she needs to terminate her unwanted pregnancy. View Trailer
