Reading at The Twig for the release of Bearing the Mask featuring Carmen Tafolla

This reading of Bearing the Mask: Southwestern Persona Poems will feature poets from San Antonio and across the state reading their own work and others’ from this acclaimed anthology. Readers will include Carmen Tafolla, 2015 State Poet Laureate of Texas and author of the foreword for Bearing the Mask.

The second in a series of anthologies of poetry of the Southwest by Albuquerque-based Dos Gatos Press, Bearing the Mask presents a diverse collection of personae from before European contact to the present, from the historical to the mythical, and from the famous to the obscure, woven together to form a vibrant, complex history.
