Luther, Anti-Semitism, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer

November 14, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Claire Hein Blanton is a doctoral student in Ethics and Systematic Theology at the University of Aberdeen. She holds a BA in History from Rice University and a Master’s of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies from Baylor University’s Truett Seminary.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German pastor and key founding member of the Confessing Church, a movement within German Protestantism during Nazi Germany, that arose in opposition to government-sponsored efforts to unify all Protestant churches into a single pro-Nazi Protestant Reich Church. Arrested in 1943 by the Gestapo, Bonhoeffer was executed by hanging.
