She holds a BA in History from Rice University and a Master’s of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies from Baylor University’s Truett Seminary. \nDietrich Bonhoeffer was a German pastor and key founding member of the Confessing Church\, a movement within German Protestantism during Nazi Germany\, that arose in opposition to government-sponsored efforts to unify all Protestant churches into a single pro-Nazi Protestant Reich Church. Arrested in 1943 by the Gestapo\, Bonhoeffer was executed by hanging. \n
