Please join the Texas A&M San Antonio University Library for another installment of Latino Americans: 500 Years of History grant programming on Thursday, November 19th from 11a.m. to 12:30p.m. Dr. Edith Esparza-Young, A&M-San Antonio Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Bilingual Education and ESL will be giving a presentation titled Revolución to La Huelga: The Brownsville Eagle Bus Strike of 1980 which explores how the artwork of Francisco Esparza inspired workers at Eagle Manufacturing in Brownsville, Texas to fight for equal rights in 1980. Francisco’s artwork will be on display with the help of Alejandro Macías, Curator and Lecturer in Foundations at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. The event will take place in the Vista Room of the Central Academic Building and is free and open to the public.
