Gentrification Town Hall Meeting

The University of Texas at San Antonio and the San Antonio Express-News will host a town hall meeting on gentrification and inner-city revitalization February 10 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the UTSA Downtown Campus.  The event is free and open to the public.  Organizers ask that attendees RSVP by sending an email to letters@express-news.net.

The event brings together distinguished experts including UTSA’s Center for Cultural Sustainability Director William Dupont, as well as former City Councilwoman Maria Berriozábal; Richard Gambitta, the former director of the UTSA Institute for Law and Public Affairs; and Ramiro A. Cavazos, president and CEO of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for a panel discussion providing a thorough examination of this timely topic. The panel will also take questions from the audience. Francine Romero, associate dean of UTSA’s College of Public Policy, will moderate the discussion.
