Located in the Carmelite Quarter, this monument was dedicated in May, 1999. The text reads: “They rendered silent resistance to the the Nazi tyranny. Through personal courage they saved threatened fellow citizens from persecution and death. They put themselves in danger. Their names are mostly unknown. We commemorate them in respect and gratitude.”
