Since 1995, the all-volunteer and interfaith peaceCENTER continues to be a significant community catalyst for peace in San Antonio, Texas. Compassion and Justice are our strong guiding lights. Contemplative Practices, Experiential Education, and Nonviolent Actions are our working expressions throughout the community at large.

Monday’s Monument: Breaking the Cycle Mural, San Antonio, TX
Breaking the Cycle was the 18th mural installed by San Anto Cultural Arts, in 2002. It is by Mary Agnes Rodriguez, Ruth Buentello, Chris Munoz, & Daisy Tovar and is at 626 S Zarzamora in San Antonio. San Anto Cultural Arts fosters human and community development through community-based arts. Originally established in 1993 by community youth and arts advocates Manuel Castillo, Cruz Ortiz and Juan Miguel Ramos as a project of Inner City Development. San Anto Cultural Arts became an independent nonprofit in 1997. They work with inner city youth ages 9-19 but impact the entire community and are an incubator for local artists.
We are only maintaining the calendar at our Compassionate San Antonio site now.
