Since 1995, the all-volunteer and interfaith peaceCENTER continues to be a significant community catalyst for peace in San Antonio, Texas. Compassion and Justice are our strong guiding lights. Contemplative Practices, Experiential Education, and Nonviolent Actions are our working expressions throughout the community at large.

Monday’s Monument: Peace Tower, St. Petersburg, Russia
Built for the 300th anniversary of the founding of St. Petersburg in 2003, France financed construction of this 59.4-foot “Peace Tower” — a transparent column with the word peace written in many languages and signatures on the base left by all the world leaders coming to St. Petersburg for the birthday celebration. The artists are the same ones who designed the Mur de la Paix on the Champ de Mars in Paris.
We are only maintaining the calendar at our Compassionate San Antonio site now.
