In these Times of Protest Part 2
Saturday May 20, we held a workshop about the San Antonio ordinances limiting free speech and access to public gatherings on streets, sidewalks and in the airport. There was interest and energy from the community members who showed up to revive the Free Speech Coalition that was active starting in 2006 and to start organizing once again against these ordinances. SATX4 is the Black Lives Matter movement in San Antonio. We had an incredible show of support and solidarity at the No Hate, No Fear Rally this past Saturday and now we're asking you to join us, this Saturday, August 19th to discuss the next steps for SATX4 and how we continue the work of getting the Confederate statue removed.

San Antonio teachers and administrators are welcome to attend a free workshop about the THE MEXICAN AMERICAN STUDIES TOOLKIT. This textbook is poised to become the first Mexican American Studies textbook approved for statewide use in high schools. The TEA has already confirmed that it meets the TEKS and ELPS requirements for TX. We are limited to 50 participants due to space constraints.
