Public lecture by author and scholar Devery S. Anderson, author of "Emmett Till: The Murder that Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement." The book, published in 2015 by the University of Mississippi Press, is the definitive account of the murder of 14-year old Emmett Till in Mississippi, an event that is often credited as the "beginning" of the 20th Century Civil Rights Movement.
