On Friday, September 1, the state's racial profiling law SB4 will go into effect. In reponse, Texas Organzing Project, Unite Here, and Mi Familia Vota will host a march starting at 11:30 a.m. at La Plaza del Zacate in Milam Park (500 W. Commerce). Communities from across Texas will come together at the Texas State Capitol on Saturday, September 2 for a Day of Resistance and Noncompliance to defy SB4. There will also be a free concert at the rally to bring national attention and send the message that Texans will take action against the extremist agenda that targets Latinos, immigrants and all people of color.
