The Once and Future Meeting of Rumi, Meister Eckhart, and Moses de León in Medieval Venice
For peace in the world, we need to seek peace within ourselves. Authors James C. Harrington, a human rights lawyer in Austin, TX, and the founder and director emeritus of the Texas Civil Rights Project and Sidney G. Hall III, a United Methodist minister, will share their new book. Three great mystics meet for an imaginary night-long conversation which can invite individuals today to find their own spirituality. The different spiritual paths of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism led them to similar understandings of union with the Divine. Authentic union leads to action for compassion, and justice.
