The Role of Tibetan Monks in Today’s Society

The UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures will welcome the monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery for an evening lecture on their cultural traditions, their contributions to world peace and their perspective on events in Tibet.

The monks are currently on tour as part The Mystic Arts of Tibet, which will be at UTSA, Nov. 14-17. The tour was established to promote trans-cultural understanding and scholarly exchange; a venture inaugurated by the Dalai Lama.

Limited seating. $10 for adults (12-64); $8 for seniors (65+) and children (6-11); free with membership, UTSA or Alamo Colleges identification.
