
Our second reading group will address how the ongoing history of racism shapes understandings of sexual violence. In particular, we will strategize about how SATX4 and our community can better link the exposure of systemic racial injustice with fighting gender and sexual oppression.

In addition, we will be collecting donations for the Inside Books Project, an Austin-based organization that sends books and other educational materials to prisoners in Texas. (It is the only books-to-prisoners organization in the state.) Please bring any used books (including dictionaries and how-to manuals) you wish to donate. Because of cost, IBP is unable to send hardcover fiction or encyclopedias.
