Play: Mercy Killers @ Esperanza Center (one night only)

Esperanza Peace & Justice Center, National Nurses United, and Health Care for All Texas invite you to join us in welcoming actor-playwright Michael Milligan and his one-man play MERCY KILLERS to San Antonio, Saturday, April 25th at 7PM. Both a powerful love story and an examination of American health care, this award-winning drama has played Off-Broadway, in medical schools, and on the floors of state legislatures. Proceeds support Esperanza and Health Care for All Texas, an all-volunteer, grassroots organization that believes health care is a human right and that every person in the state of Texas deserves access to high quality health care at an affordable cost (www.hcfat.org).

ABOUT THE PLAY
Joe loves apple pie, the 4th of July and his wife, Jane. He is made in the USA and proud. But when his wife is diagnosed with cancer, his world is turned upside down as he struggles with the experience of losing your health in the land of plenty. ~ The performance will be given with Spanish captioning and followed with a bilingual plática with the actor, audience and special guests.

Es orgullosamente americano, pero cuando diagnostican a su esposa con cáncer, su mundo se trastorna en su lucha con la experiencia de perder la salud en la tierra de la abundancia. ~ La función se traducirá al español y después de la obra tendremos una conversación bilingüe entre el actor, el público e invitados especiales.
