Petition Delivery to Sheriff Salazar: Keep ICE Out of Bexar County

Sheriff Salazar continues to voluntarily honor ICE detainers. Our community will not be terrorize by ICE policies. Sheriff Salazar is choosing to participate in voluntary ICE programs while claiming to want to work with the community. The community needs to make it clear cooperating with ICE is not protecting our community. After a brief discussion, we will deliver our petition. We will also present Sheriff Salazar with a copy of the statements from both the Austin and Houston Sheriffs who have elected NOT to participate in voluntary ICE holds. Come show your support and tell Sheriff Salazar our community expects more.
