Musical Bridges FREE concert @ San Fernando: Pastime with Good Company

March 8, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

FREE dessert reception to follow performance.

Serbian born virtuoso lutenist Slobodan Vujisic and the early music ensemble Austin Troubadours in period costumes with authentic instruments perform dance and songs of Medieval and Renaissance Europe.

The Musical Evenings at San Fernando Cathedral are designed after the European model of free concerts in historic destinations like Venice, Florence and Amsterdam. MBAW’s Sunday evening concerts entice listeners to explore the location of several buildings listed in the National Register of Historic Places. San Fernando, the oldest cathedral in the U.S., is the host to world-class classical musicians on select Sundays.

Musical Bridges Around the World is a cultural and educational nonprofit organization focused on creating one-of-a-kind, multicultural performances by world-class, internationally renowned classical, jazz, and ethnic folk musicians and performing artists for the benefit of the public and at-risk youth, while fostering San Antonio’s reputation as a cosmopolitan cultural center and promoting tourism and development.
