Memory Walk: Transgender Day of Remembrance

November 17, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Join The Center – Pride Center San Antonio as we lead the 2nd annual memory walk as a way to bring awareness to TDOR and the issues faced in the community.

The memory walk will begin at 6pm at San Antonio College. Community will meet in the parking lot at the SAC Subway located at the intersection of Main/Myrtle.

The 1/2 mile walk will be followed by a service at MCC SA (611 E Myrtle St, San Antonio, TX 78212)  who will once again host the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance observance at 7 PM.

The day honors the memory of those murdered because of anti-transgender prejudice. The Transgender Day of Remembrance was originally started to commemorate the murder of Rita Hester in 1998.
