Indigenous Dignity Day Human Rights March

Indigenous peoples human rights march addressing dehumanization by colonialism. Our current goal is to remove the statue of Christopher Columbus and rename Columbus Park for an indigenous person to honor our ancestors. Previous goal was to get October 12th, recognized as Indigenous Peoples Day, we succeeded last year 2015. Both our County Commissioners Court, City Council and our Mayor passed our resolution. Join us to rally from 1pm to 3:30pm at Columbus Park on W.Martin/San Saba, our march through downtown and our second rally at the old courthouse at 300 Dolorosa from 5:30 – 7:30.
