LLILAS Benson Latin American Studies and Collections presents

Ernesto Cardenal in Word and Action: Poetry, Politics, and Priesthood in 20th-Century Nicaragua

The archive of Nicaraguan poet, priest, and political activist Ernesto Cardenal will open in November at the Nettie Lee Benson Latin American Collection at The University of Texas at Austin.

Join us to celebrate the opening of the Ernesto Cardenal Papers at a poetry reading by Cardenal and a roundtable moderated by LLILAS Benson director Virginia Garrard-Burnett, historian, with participation by Sergio Ramírez, novelist and former Nicaraguan vice president; Douglass Sullivan-González, historian; and Eric Selbin, political scientist.
