Green Drinks: Environmentalist of all varieties gabbing and/or eating and/or drinking together

September 6, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Break out of your silo at Green Drinks.

How do you get to know people who don’t go to the environmentalist oriented groups you attend? How do you hear about what is discussed at the groups you don’t attend. How do we all break out of our environmentalist silos and build connections across the many enviromentally oriented groups in San Antonio?

You attend the groups you attend. You get to know the people who attend those groups and you learn about the issues that those groups focus on.

That is precisely the purpose of Green Drinks where people involved in various enviromental groups with various concerns and interests gather for informal conversation and information exchange. Along with the environmental bridge building we have great food and beer and wine available.

If you’ve got books, ideas, causes or videos you want to share, bring them but also feel free to just bring yourself.

With it being open mic night at the Cove, we sit outside for a bit more quiet. Lately we are usually in the covered area near the entrance to the food ordering area so that we can keep an eye on the line and jump in when it gets down to a reasonable length. The Cove has options for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters but ordering can take a while. Somehow we always manage to get fed though. The bar has an excellent selection. Pets and children are welcome with playgrounds available for each.

See you there and bring a friend!, San Antonio, Texas
