He has completed five professional music albums, published two books, ImaRginación and Prognosis, and has toured internationally throughout 20 countries. His work focuses on race relations, decolonial narratives, and the African diaspora in Latin America. His most recent documentary, Nana Dijo/Irresolute Radiography of Black Consciousness, has been recognized as a brilliant contribution in the analysis of the body of the oppressed. Bocafloja has been featured in: BBC, NPR, MTV Iggy, NACLA, and many other newspapers, magazines, and media outlets globally.

Krudas Cubensi (Havana, Cuba) are a Black feminist, queer, and vegan political activist hip-hop group formed in Havana, Cuba. The group challenges imperialist colonial ideologies with a focus on combating oppressive patriarchal, racist, and colonial paradigms. In resistance to a straight, male dominated hip-hop climate, the group founded the first vegan and queer activist art group in Havana called “Cubensi,” and in 1999 they formed Krudas Cubensi. After building an extensive career as hip-hop pioneers in Cuba, Las Krudas moved to Austin, Texas to expand their sound through live music channels and community and university workshops.
