The Interfaith Welcome Coalition invites you to learn about our efforts to welcome and support refugee women and children and to end the practice of family detention.
Come learn how you can be part of the change!
We will hear stories from women who have been detained with their children, and from IWC volunteers sharing their experiences visiting Karnes and Dilley detention centers, welcoming families at the bus station and temporary housing, and attending to their health care needs.
We have also invited the entire congressional delegation from the area, including those representing Karnes and Dilley. Congressmen Castro and Doggett have confirmed their participation.
