Through a partnership with the Center for Miracles, Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, Voices for Children of San Antonio is coordinating a mini conference for Faith Leaders.  This ecumenical effort will highlight the prevalence and trends related to the huge problem of child abuse and neglect in San Antonio, Bexar County. Faith leaders will have the opportunity to learn about tangible activities:  large and small; short term and long term; from basic needs to wraparound support; that houses of worship can implement to help children, youth and their families who are experiencing chronic exposure to poverty/food insecurity, community and family violence and other factors which contribute to toxic stress and child abuse and neglect.
