Challenges for U.S. Policy in the Middle East

The Israel Public Diplomacy Forum is bringing one of the world’s top experts on U.S. Policy in the Middle East to San Antonio for a special address at the International Center on Sep. 22. The event is jointly sponsored by the World Affairs Council of San Antonio, the City of San Antonio’s International Relations Office and the San Antonio Council for International Visitors. Professor Eytan Gilboa, a Middle East scholar and commentator will speak on “The U.S. in the Middle East: Interests and Dilemmas” and will touch on issues facing the next president when he or she takes office in January. Examples include the nuclear deal with Iran, the civil wars in the Middle East region, the emergence of the Islamic State and Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.
