SUMMARY:Spirituality and Healthcare: Cultivating Compassionate Care
DESCRIPTION:\nSpirituality is not isolated but intrinsic to mental\, physical and emotional health.\nYou are invited to participate in the launch of a new spirituality and health care education program offered by the Oblate Institute for the Study of Contemporary Spirituality. Join us for an inspiring half-day day program to address the expressed and perceived needs of health care professionals in the delivery of health care services in the area of spirituality. \nDistinguished speakers Professor Philip Sheldrake will address “Contemporary Spirituality\, Promoting Health and Models of Care” and Shastri Linda Mockeridge will address “Spiritual Competency: Mindful Inquiry.”  Together they will explore how gaining competency in spirituality in relation to grief\, end of life\, suffering and pain\, cultural diversity\, and other faith traditions is intrinsic to mental\, physical and emotional health. \nJoin Oblate School of Theology as they begin a journey to understand how the spiritual\, social\, medical and academic fields of study intersect in cultivating compassionate care.\nThe program offers 3.0 Continuing Education Hours for licensed practitioners: LCSW\, LMSW and LPC. \nQuestions?
