DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\nDates: THREE Thursdays\, Sept. 24\, Oct. 1 and 8   Time: 7 – 9 p.m.    Register By: Sept. 17 \nHow does an individual make a moral / religious commitment to nonviolence as a viable way of life and method for social change? Participants will examine the sources of nonviolence and peacemaking in the Bible and the early history of Christianity. We also look at contemporary expressions of nonviolence in our troubled world. Recommended reading for participants: Jesus Christ Peacemaker: A New Theology of Peace\, by Terrence J. Rynne. \nAbout the Instructor: James Ball is an associate professor of theology at Saint Mary’s University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law. His interests include Christian ethics\, Catholic social teaching\, and inter-religious dialogue. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
