DESCRIPTION: \n“Water protector camps were never just physical places\, they can not be destroyed by the U.S. government.”\n–Brenda Norrell\, Censored News \nWednesday\, February 22nd at 2pm was the Army Corps of Engineer’s deadline for water protectors to vacate from the land that the Oceti Sakowin\, Rosebud and part of the Sacred Stone Camps have occupied since last fall. \nWe are hearing and seeing footage today\, Thursday\, February 23rd that bulldozers\, armored tanks\, and militarized police have been moving through the camps\, with some arrests made (Native elders\, a journalist\, and veterans) and one person injured. With peace and determination in our hearts\, we will unite as a community to focus our collective energy and intentions on a prayer that those at Standing Rock may remain safe\, protected\, and strong as they fight for sovereignty\, clean water\, and for the futures of all our children\, grandchildren\, and great-grandchildren. Let’s gather to say that San Antonio continues to stand with Standing Rock! The struggle is not over\, and we will continue. \nSo far our last two actions at Wells Fargo have been small but impactful. For this one we need everyone to come out!!
