DESCRIPTION: \nThis event is part of a series to inform ourselves about the connections between the Doctrine of Discovery\, Colonization and Gentrification in the struggle for Civil Rights\, Human Rights and the Rights of Mother Earth. \nThis session will focus on uplifting the Rights of Mother Earth and the protection of Water. \nVecinos de Mission Trails in partnership with the Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe of Texas will host this session. \nThe lines of defense/frontlines are closer than you think. \nA lightning flash info session on the Stop DAPL struggle and local struggles. \nJuan Mancias will be live streamed from Standing Rock. \nThere will be opportunity to donate supplies to transport with those traveling to Standing Rock in the next trip coordinated by the Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe of Texas. \nProvided: •Spanish language interpretation •relevant children’s activities •light snacks \n
