DESCRIPTION: \nJoin us Saturday\, October 22 during peak Monarch butterfly migration week as we celebrate San Antonio’s unique place in the storied Monarch butterfly migration–right in the middle of the flyway.  \nMayor Ivy Taylor signed the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) Mayor’s Monarch Pledge in December\, making San Antonio the first city in the country to become a Monarch Champion in the national campaign to encourage mayors and local governments to increase Monarch butterfly and pollinator habitat. \nEvents are FREE and open to the public. Here’s the current schedule: \n10 AM People for Pollinators Parade COSTUMES ENCOURAGED \nWe’ll gather at 9:30 for a migration through the Pearl grounds led by San Antonio’s own Pedaling Pollinators\, a butterfly-themed bike troupe orchestrated by the Earn-A-Bike Coop. \n11:30 AM Monarch butterfly release and tagging demonstration\n1 PM Monarch butterfly release and tagging demonstration\nLearn why and how we tag Monarch butterflies \nOngoing:\nPearl Farmer’s Market–It’s Pumpkin season!
