SUMMARY:Creating a Culture of Kindness
DESCRIPTION:How might we heal deep divides and the crushing speed of life? Considering kindness as an antidote can sound naïve\, yet making kind and gentle inquiries about another can\ncreate a connection\, give insights into life\, and touch hearts. Genuine kindness is so powerful it can make the world a better place. This class will include teachings on inherent human wisdom and dignity\, using meditation/mindfulness as the method of uncovering the same. \nShastri Betsy Pond is a former director of the Shambala Center of San Antonio and a student of Shambala Buddhism since 1990. She teaches meditation and leads programs on the inherent goodness\, wisdom\, and decency of humanity and society. Shastri (learned guide) Pond has been a psychotherapist since 1984\, with a focus on assisting adults in discovering their own true sanity and wisdom. \n
