DESCRIPTION:Did you know that our government operates “refugee camps” in South Texas to detain women and children who fled violence in Central America? Karnes is expanding from 600 to 1\,200 beds and Dilley will operate 2\,400 beds at full capacity. The U.S. government has labeled women and children refugees “threats to national security\,” setting bonds as high as $20\,000.
