SUMMARY:Break through the Lens: End Rape Culture
DESCRIPTION: \nOn Thursday\, November 30\, 2017\, graduate students enrolled in UTSA’s Social Work program are advocating against Sexual Violence through a project\, titled “Through the Lens: End Rape Culture”. The presentation will be held at the San Antonio Public Library\, Downtown Branch\, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Implementing a research method entitled “photovoice”\, the event will be a coordinated effort between on-campus organizations\, undergraduate students\, and officials to bring attention to “rape culture”. The MSW students will be also be advocating for changes to Title IX at local universities\, a major source of funding for universities as they fight against sexual assault. Students will present their views on rape culture and be provided a forum in which they are empowered to make lasting change across the local community. \n
